  • What is an inverter in a heat pump?

    An inverter is an energy-saving technology that eliminates heat pump waste by effectively controlling the compressor's speed. A heat pump compressor works like a car's throttle to maintain a set temperature rather than frequently turning the motor off and on like a conventional device.

  • Is R32 a safe refrigerant?

    Generally speaking, refrigerants in category A are considered non-toxic, and category B is toxic. R32 is the least toxic of all Class A (non-toxic) refrigerants listed in ISO 817 compared to all other Class A (low toxicity) refrigerants. 
     
    R32 is a fluorocarbon (CH2F2), which is inert, non-toxic, and low-flammable.
