About Split Heat Pumps
Air source split heat pump is divided into an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The outdoor unit retains compressor, fans, expansion valves, etc. The indoor unit includes plat heat exchanger, circulating water pump, expansion tank, electric heater and so on. The outdoor unit and the indoor unit are connected through a copper pipe. Apart from being easy to hang and install, the system has better anti freezing performance compared with the monoblock type, because there is no waterway for the outdoor part.
At present, SPRSUN split heat pump units are a type of EVI low temperature DC inverter air source heat pumps. Whether air source heat pump can be used in the low temperature environment is closely related to its defrosting ability. In cold weather, it appears that the heating efficiency of on/off heat pumps is insufficient or it is even difficult to start the unit. In contrast, DC inverter heat pumps can operate at adjustable frequency. When defrosting is needed, it will automatically enter into high-frequency operation, so that the defrosting speed will be greatly increased.
In extremely cold areas, why split type DC inverter heat pump is more popular than monoblock type is related to its more advanced ant freezing function. If the monoblock heat pump is placed outdoors, even if thermal insulation is done, the water components may be frozen when the temperature is very low.
